ACT, which has announced a 14-race, 10-track 2010 schedule, pioneered GM crate motor acceptance on its Late Model tour and at Thunder Road in Barre, VT. Last year, it introduced Ford’s S347JR crate motor. Three-time track champion Cris Michaud finished third in the 2009 Thunder Road standings with a Ford S347JR under the hood. He also competed in several tour races, including ACT’s successful inaugural event at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

Teams going with Ford in 2010 include those of Joey Polewarczyk Jr of Hudson, NH, Glen Luce of Turner, ME, Dale and DJ Shaw of Center Conway, NH, Wayne Helliwell Jr of Dracut, MA, Mike Johnson of Salisbury, MA and Jeff Taylor of Fairfield, ME in addition to Michaud.Polewarczyk and Luce finished fourth and eighth respectively on the ACT Tour last year.
